We’ve been ready to pack away our coats and reunite with our favourite summer fashion pieces since January.

But now that summer is officially here (nothing says that more than the 9pm ITV2 sound of the return of Love Island) you may well have breathed a deep sigh of relief last week as you realised that the freezing cold winter and slightly dreary spring – all 1,000 weeks of it – was *finally* over.

After spending two summers – the last of which blessed us UK residents with a whole four days of sunshine – in varying states of national lockdown, it’s no exaggeration to say that we’re all owed one hell of a good one this year. Even if the weather doesn’t play ball, at this point we’re going all in on on summer fashion.

Whether you’re soaking up the sun during your first holiday in what feels like forever or you’re staycationing in your garden for the third year on the trot, if spring/summer 22 fashion week was anything to go by last September, this season looks set to be a scorcher.
